The little creepy voice haunting the anti-phase of this track reminds me of Pico's dead classmates, and how I eerily unnerving it was to play Pico the first time all those years ago.
It sounds really amazing, you know how to "move a sub". Pompous ass! jk, or am I? huh! huh?

apimusic responds:

I'm telling you, that sub was NOT moving!!!

I love you a lot, and I don't want you to injure me.

bump bump bump bump

Judging this as a pico piece, I'm not sure, because I haven't yet figured out what it means to write a pico slow song.

However, on it's own merits:

I really like where this song could go, it feels like it's built up a really cool atmosphere, for a really sick melody to come in and just work that pad like a french whore, but I guess with 60 seconds to work with, we're left to wonder. Bah, another good artist that I have to pay attention to now! haha

Envy responds:

hoohoo, I really like this song, just cause I like how calm it is. I have no idea what pico song means either, so this was a ballpark guess. Thanks for the review!

Just to return the favor :)

I didn't think this was a bad piece, it has the EXACT pico feel, in my opinion. I can picture little cartoon schoolkids killing eachother to this, quite easily. Pretty cool melody, even if it is a bit repetitive. I think you did a really good job creating the pico feel.

-ac-

Envy responds:

Well I think it was a bad piece... I just wish it wasnt so repetitive, and high pitched and annoying... BLEGH

Ear sex FTW

OK. Ideas...

Shit. I don't have any.

But I can say that this song is the sonic equivalent to a nice tuxedo, or a jeweled cup: Pimp. It sounds like you've arranged this like a full track, so I'm not sure what the demo is all about... ok fuck I just got to thABRUPTENDINGat. Why don't you just fade it out? :)

-ac-

SolusLunes responds:

That's exactly the problem :D

Though that's a good idea.

I'll try that.

hrmm...

This was a really strange piece, I dunno if I would label this trance, this was like some extremely dissonant stuff. Trance usually has more of a hook, a catchyness to it, whereas this really isn't ever in the right key with itself. I think you need to work on the actualy songwriting, because this sounds like they are just random notes tossed at eachother.

Also, the song is clipping throughout, sounds like you need to slap a few compressors on everything.

Dr-Slump responds:

Hmmm i dont know how to answer you, because, well, your songs are awesome, and well, you're the man. But i swear i tried my best on this one... =/ sorry you didn't like.

Doooood

I've never been able to do a backflip before, I've tried and busted my ass. After listening to this song though...

I still busted my ass, but man I was JAMMIN out on my back on the floor!

The production is spotless, I LOVE what you did with the voices man, and I'm so jealous dude, I wanna work with voices, I WANT THAT!!!

I like the little saw-y trumpet synth you have in staccato bursts, it's sexy and adds an anthemic element to the track. The arrangement... well... perfect. I love it man, it's pure listener-ear sexing. I uploaded a new version of stratodancer with some slight improvements, though I feel like the arrangement is still lacking, let me know what you think, and give me some tips on using the auto-tuner, I think I could slap some of my own vocals on it, hah!

Anyway, this song is ridiculous. Flat out ridiculous. Amazing job evan.

Wooooo

Oooold skoool sounds!

Me likey the drum programming, very slick, I love the t r i p l e t s fill, with the filter swinging in along with it. Cool olskool synthwork, but I gotta say the standout to this is the drums. I don't know how much this fits with Trip-hop to me though... it seems a bit too abrasive for that genre. I love the 303 sounds in the beginning... they're pretty tits. Awesome track man!

AHHHH

It feels like the walls are crumbling around me, distortion panned high pitch synths flying all around me, sad piano melodies, gritty drums ripping the soundscape to shreds, reverse claps slapping me in the face... glitches... eep. This could probably score some flash game, like a halloween game. Haha, especially with the cheesy scream at the end, hehe. A good track man, nice work!

Ooh I missed this! whoops

Thanks for your review Admiral

FahwooshWhat?

Wow, this is rather hardcore. It's so weird and trippy, I can't imagine this being good for anyone that's on mushrooms, they'd probably end up running away from the evil speaker mouths and bash their heads in the wall, because it looks like the waters of salvation... errmm. Yea. I picture motion picture scoring for this. A high intensity, fast edited chase sequence. I love the rocket flying sample... great effects work on it. Good song, but soooo weeeeird!

ShinDenjin responds:

I know... it's the weirdest song, but as the last response to a review, I threw this together in the matter of about an hour or so. Thanks for hte review man^^

Hahaha, this was awesome

I really loved the music in this. The piece flowed so smoothly, very groovy man, ooh just got to the piano part, me like, too prominent though, just a touch more in the background and this would have been Puhh-ting. The samples were chopped proper, I gotta give it to you for using the Duck and Cover audio. I don't know what else to say; I loved it.
