whoa

I wasn't expecting a face-melting rockage like this... jeebus, my face is sitting in a puddle on my lap. Thanks assclown.

p.s. EMOSEWA SI SIHT

Metalcan responds:

You're welcome. :D

p.s. I got your secret code.

damn this is awesome

I remember LaymanLove telling me about you a while back, and I never managed to get to your page and just check you out... glad I did because you are pretty much pro at this. There's very little to no criticism I can offer, as the production value on this track is pretty much as high as I've heard on NG, rivaling API even. The live feel, and disgustingly dirty bass, the entrancing melody, the scratching, the pickup into the next song, I mean this was friggin awesome man. good job

a little bass heavy

at least on my headphones, the highs aren't brought out enough... and that melody is faintly reminiscent of outside; however... NICE breakdown, with the soft keys caressing my right ear, smooth strings brushing the center of my head, and blockrockin beats barraging my left ear. I really like the quirky panning on the main synth that you do randomly, and the crowd sfx is a crowd pleaser, pun intended. Great sounding stuff from you as always, you're just about 3 hairs away from perfection.

Khuskan responds:

The panning on the main synth isn't random, and i'm only panning the echo. The thing is, I had stereo seporation up too high and forgot to centre the main synth's panning, so it sounds slightly louder when it hits the left. It goes once from left to right and back every 4 bars, if memory serves.

I was having problems making my simple dual-sine base being heard, which is what lead to the dodgey equalisation. I found that if I raised the highs too.. high then it just clipped out which was bad. Getting that balance was damned annoying.

god damn

that bass synth is fucking dirty, I love it! the panning and eq soundscapes are well distributed. The superfat saws are a nice touch, but I'm feeling that they are getting played out. It has a cool dark feeling, and then the chord progression kicks in and my face hops on my desk and raves for about 6 minutes straight, even after the song finishes. Anyway, it's still dancing... I'll end this by saying thanks for rocking my face off

Karbon responds:

I can see you with your face rocked off right now. Lol.

And I'm glad you think the bass is dirtier than your mom's bed sheets when she was 22. :D

whoa

Haha, I heard some crowd cheering samples in there, whoa just got to the part with the anthem trance lead haha damn it sounds awesome! I'm gonna have to check out the original now.

This song gets 10/10 5/5 from me, good day to you sir.

Hot damn

This song is very powerful and catchy, two qualities deserving of the McPerfectBurger. However, if it were me giving out the awards, I would give this a McAwesome, because of the following:

I feel like the lead you use is slightly dated(?)... umm I feel like a slightly cutoff, fatter synth would be better. Again, you're pan soundscape is filled all around, however, nothing really changes and stuns me, the one thing that did really impress me was the vocoding. I love vocoders, I need to incorporate that into my next song... Also, didn't you use pretty much that same beat in Outside? I would have used a different snare, a more electronic sounding one. I loved the breakdown with the slick breakbeat minus the bassline, very cool, plus the harmonizing vocoders = extremely powerful buildup tool.

I wish I could better understand the words to the song, because I would sing along to this for sure! Again, awesome work man! Looking forward to female vocals, hehe

Khuskan responds:

The words make less sence than I want them to, to be honest. I had a programmer I know knock up a 'trance rhyme-o-matic' in visual basic, that instantly puts words that you would otherwise never use in music in rhyming order.

I was never one for writing lyrics.

I blame the lack of dynamic panning on my incompetance and lazyness. Feel free to do the same

god...

I love that fucking 303 sound...

I really like the punchy ass kick too, it's a great loop! Catchy and danceable, mastered perfectly, it's awesome!

-ac-

PERVOK responds:

Ah, thank you!
That 303 sound was made by me when i was fuckin around with WASP one day...
...and now its MINE!
>:D

thanks for the review!

Potential city

Do it!

Mainstream perfection... finish this and then bring it in to the club with you. It'll get played :)

PERVOK responds:

Thanks, ill be sure to release a quick thrown together version soon...when im not so lazy.

sweet

This is a very original, strange and diverse piece you have here! I really enjoyed that first melody though, wish you'd have kept working with that, but the rest of the song worked very well... it just seems like the whole song is just a mix of about 6 different melodies that don't have much to do with eachother except for maybe the key. However, it's a very cool display of originality and creativity! I really like the synth you use at the end too, very bassy but has a sort of harmonic twang to it... anyway very cool stuff man!

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

Thanks man, very descriptive review!

And thanks for listening

FUCK

I punched a god damn hole in my desk out of involuntarism... this song will pump you up, but then a bit much then you go berserk and start bringin' da pain train on unsuspecting pieces of furniture... listeners beware!

Technical notes!

I really like this technique I keep hearing from you, the noise gating, and I'm interested in absorbing this technique into my own repertoire, I might ask you about it on MSN or something... again though, this song would KILL any and all brain cells if you fucked with pan! Fuck with pan!

-ac-

PERVOK responds:

thought about, and DONE.
