Wow I loved this!

This piece is so weird and crazy; I love the lo-fi aspect of it. It's very interesting to me that you don't do any kind of drugs, because sir you are creating some ridiculously trippy music that would boggle the mind of any inebriated person. I feel like you did an excellent job creating the EQ and pan soundscapes in this one, the sound is full on my headphones and speakers, never really being crowded in any one part or clustering in a frequency. Very heavy delay adds to the trippyness of it; this is a really cool experimental piece.

Awesome. Thanks man!!

wow, not bad!

You guys sound great together, and the rhythm is almost perfect! The one thing I noticed right off the bat is that the bass and drummer gel together pretty well :)

Lead guitar does some tasty soloing, the drums are simple but very effective. Not bad overall, I liked it quite a bit!

Very lovely!

I really enjoyed this piece a great deal. I can understand some of the things Zeth said in his review, and so I'm not going to repeat them in this one. However you've made a great piece, which would probably require a more trained ear than the average person has to identify that it's not a real orchestra. I didn't particularly like the abrupt transition from the beginning with the choir to just the clarinet, but the rest of your transitions were done very well. I love a good timpani beat, and this kept the energy flowing lovely-like. Overall an excellent job, good job man.

Diabolo-ical responds:

Thanks a bunch :)

Personally I don't like the beginning at all - in fact, I have no idea why I didn't change it for this version. It just ended up crap because I was making it up as I went along, though that's what I was doing for the rest too...

Anyway, thanks again.

Love it

Best video game song I've heard on the AP in a long time, hands down. This is an excellent version of the Lon Lon ranch song, and boy did it make me reminisce. Ahh, a reason to break out the N64 :)

Nice to see I've inspired some people, even if it is only to sit around playing video games all day. After all, what is life for?

Interesting low saw bass

I say interesting because I don't hear low saw bass in hip hop, but it gives it a grimeyness that is contradicted, beautifully might I add, by the piano and strings. What I think prevents this piece from really going to a 10 in my ears is the lack of variance on the drums, especially because I know you are such a great drummer. The piece is very soft and sweet, the melodies are candy on the ears and everything about it speaks volumes about your producing, however I think that it needs a more powerful climax before that volume fade out. Great track still though, and I love the triplet in the beginning, wish it would have made a comeback somewhere in the song, unless I'm dumb and didn't hear it because I was writing this.

:)

PERVOK responds:

yes, the drums could ahve been more interesting...but, i guess thats what laziness does to you.

ill put more workinto my next piece.

as for the triplet in the begginning...

yes, it does make a comeback :P

listen to when the melody comes in the second time. it should be there.

thanks for the awesome review!

Wow, nice!

I wasn't expecting something this nice for my "required 3 reviews" but this is pretty damn cool!

I love that piano melody, and when you introduced the drums and the bassline(which I loved, however needs a better way to lead back into the loop, also try and come up with cooler rhythms than just up-beat stabs, since it's been done to death) it started to flow together very nicely. I really like the little synthy bleeps toward the end with snare flams, it builds a nice energy for that next part. I really like the mood and feeling that this piece creates, it's a beautiful piece and I'm going to keep watching for more pieces by you.

Flashburn responds:

Wow thanks! Im glad you appreciated this song. Zeeber too. yah I realize that coming up with greater diversity in my rythms is what I have to work on for my future songs so I will definetly do my best

Now I'm convinced...

That you do drugs.

You have great skill with Reason, makes me wanna get back into using it without FL.

-ac-

Laiderdaiv responds:

Your assumption of my persona based on the music I create is inaccurate.

I think it's totally cool that you have that conviction. In fact, I got the jitters reading that. Reason being, is that I'm a crazy ass person in my head. But in action, I do nothing about it. I take what conciousness gives me for granted. I'd like to think I don't, but if I didn't then the two things wouldn't be very diferent, if at all.

And I guess I exert my inner self in my songs..Craziness.
Question: Don't you act differently when you're under the influence?

....Exactly.

-Jon

P.S. I've never done any hardcore drugs. Mother nature loves me. My favorite color is green.

Woah!

I finally get around to listening to your music, and little did I know I was missing Kingbastard jr!

This is very freaking cool stuff, I love the strange automation on the filter for that lead synth, and when the reverb heavy percussion comes in, it makes me bob my head, this song is so weird and yet so jammin' that I wonder what kind of shit you were smoking when you came up with it. I love that ending noisy synth that changes rhythms, and then becomes syncopated, I thought that was awesome! Excellent work, now on to your other songs :)

Laiderdaiv responds:

LEFT OFF, man...Left off...

Or is it Right on?

I forget....I have no memory..

...I'm Joking..Seriously, I don't that often, haha. It's for appreciation purposes only.

Excellent remake!

I like the new slow arping organ sound in the background, man does that add an incredible warmth to the piece!!!! I have to agree with -API- though, the kick might be too clicky, and the piece as a whole is lacking in the middle EQ range, just a bit. The "new" melody you introduce around halfway sounds really great too, and I love that drum beat you introduce as the song fades out. I really enjoyed this remake alot, but really what made it great for me was the slow arping organ sound. Great job b0unc3, I mean what else should I expect from one of the greatest, if not the, trance artists to ever hit NG?

-ac-

B0UNC3 responds:

Thanks for the review.Once again the Hardware EQ fucked up.I fixed it now though and i have a better version coming. The bass n kick volumes are about doubled volume now. ;)

The Malloyster strikes again

hehe, I remember listening to this when you came over to smoke pot.

XD

and I do remember your "favorite little mistake" which I have to admit, was very cool hehe. I like the piece alot man, I can't ever say you don't have talent, I mean you are scoring Extremist for a reason. And for the shadow breaking down comment you left on "Synthesis", you get a cookie. We gotta finish the evil techno we're working on, when you gonna come over?
