hehe

This can be used in a song, so you get 5 in effort because you just wrote a melody and stopped. You know not to waste my time. I've already sent the terminator, he knows what you look like, what you wear, where you live. You can't escape him, and he won't stop until either you die, or he does. He is... the Terminator.

lol

Damn it is good

when the main melody finally comes in after the snare roll... The intro with the kick isn't the greatest, but man when the main melody comes in it sure does sound great, really clubworthy I would say. I'm sure that you are going on to finish this, because it would be a waste to keep this to a minute and 22 seconds. Anyway, you get my 5 for potential.

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

I appreciate it man, I must have just been messing around, its hard for me to keep ideas going you know?

Pretty good!

Sounds a little muffled though... not as clear as it could be, you know? I love the melody though, the way it switches to that diminished chord, it's unusual in music of this type. Nice work!
Great use of filters, and the "stutter" effect is perfect for this.

NDP responds:

thx man, yes im asbout to fix the muffled part, i just noticed, i will resubmit

Nicolas...

Very nice!

Very professional sounding, right off the bat I could feel the super-tight production. Excellent synths used, I haven't heard the original(surprisingly) so I can't tell if they are similar or not, but this song is really damn good. Everything smacks of professionalism... damn good job man!

Karbon responds:

Thank you my good lad. I just love the original, so you know when i love something, i have to remix! :)

Darkness is comin, brotha darkness is comin

It's got a great oriental feeling to it, haha that bell kind of sound is great, but the melody feels a little uninspired. Maybe a little more variation. The bass could do with a bit more power, and I think the drums are pretty sweet the way they are. The release time on that guitar sounding instrument was a bit long though, and at the end when the notes are playing since it lingers so long it kind of creates a disonance, which doesn't help it in my ears :(

However the song is simple, catchy, and the beat is pretty cool. Nice work :)

P.S. I notice in your profile it says you are from Miami. How the hell did I not know this before? I'm in Miami right now as well, Kendall to be exact. hehe, perhaps we can do a hardcore collab, lol, in the flesh!

p.s. Thanks for the review. =)

lfcofee said it best

I'll keep it short. This was pretty awesome, and experimental, and I loved it. Great job man, I liked it alot :) EQ work was really good, the bass is really heavy and deep and makes me smile, but you need a bit more variation. Zoom in there. These are all things coffee already said. hehe

EckHart responds:

I'm glad you like it, man. I really appreciate the review. I did work really hard on it. I'm very proud of this work, and glad it doesn't suck, lol.

Thanks again!

Not bad

I like acoustic pieces, but it feels like it's unorganized. Actually, it just feels like you recorded it and didn't touch it afterwards, didn't master or anything at all.

If that's correct, then actually it's not that bad.

I notice alot of noise on the track, that can be solved with declicker programs or noise reduction programs... I use Sound Forge 8.0 and it has a noise reduction feature which is pretty good, and maintains almost 100% of the quality of the original track while removing pretty much all of the noise. The noise is probably coming from a not too great cable, or a not too great sound card.

Now onto reviewing the song itself:

The song is interesting enough, and the chords you wrote sound pretty good, you sound like a good enough guitar player, the progression is cool and I like it.

Like I was saying before, you can benefit from mastering your music big time, but this has a subtle live feeling to it, if that's what you were going for. Nice job overall, keep on making music man.

EckHart responds:

Thanks alot man. I'm glad that I am lucky enough to keep getting useful reviews! I really apreciate it. This song WAS live. I played it with my acoustic to a mic but this was BEFORE I had Magix Music Maker. I will try harder next time. Thanks alot man! I really appreciate! Keep reviewing, you're really helpful. I think with some of yours and coffee's advice, I could become pretty good at this.

Cheers!

I love it

I've always liked your music, it's always been very well produced, and the lyrics are always funny, short review and such. :)

Good job, and congrats on getting first on the audio portal!

Bezo responds:

Thanks. Ever since I got Logic Pro 7, I've been doing my best to set a high level of production for my audio and it's nice to know that people appreciate that. I dunno that this song deserved first place in the Audio Portal, and it really makes me a target for mass zero voters, but it's an honour all the same.

lol...

It's in the wrong key, and that is hurting it real bad... hehe. Production is pretty great though, so I have that to say about it. FART

-ac-

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

yep i got it in key now, an its gettin further in production, idk if ill ever get the melody perfect tho lol

Great!

Very professional sounding might I say so myself... very mainstream. I have been trying to stay away from making mainstream sounding stuff, but I think I'm going to have to go that route in order to compete with you and B0UNC3. Really awesome usage of automation filter and volume levels, everything in this song sounds great man, you have grown TREMENDOUSLY since I first heard you. Great job man, you've finally learned mastering! haha just kidding man, anyway, I don't have a working copy of FL or reason on this comp so I won't be making music for about another month or so, hopefully sooner but it doesn't look like it before the end of August. Anyway, since I can't make music, I'll just spend my time reviewing all of your songs and others, should take a while but hey, when you love the audio portal you sacrifice yourself :)
